Circa Sports has set a new record for prize money in its NFL 2024 Circa Millions and Circa Survivor online sports betting contests following an all-time high of 20,083 registrations.
Earlier this year, Circa announced that it would guarantee a record $16 million in prize money for the contests – $6 million for Circa Millions and $10 million for Circa Survivor.
As the 2pm deadline passed on Saturday September 7th, Circa Millions had pulled in 5,817 entrants falling just short of hitting the $6 million total. However, the company boosted the prize pool by $183,000 from the previous season’s overlay.
Meanwhile Circa Survivor had 14,266 entrants to see its pool grow by more than $4 million to $14,266,000.
This brings the total prize pool for both contests to $20,266,000.
The last six days of registration were the busiest with an average of $1 million in fees from 1,000 entrants each day – a new record for Circa’s NFL contests.
Circa reported that entrants to Survivor increased by 53.9% from 9,267 last season to 14,266 this year.
Circa Millions Prize Breakdown
- $1 million first place prize winner
- $3.65 million pool for places 2 – 100
- $300,000 of prizes per quarter every four to five weeks.
- The last place – $100,000
- Second to last place – $50,000
Circa Survivor
For the Survivor contest entrants must pick one team to win each game week and cannot pick the same team twice. The winner or winners will win or share the full prize pool which is now set at $14,266,000.
Last year the main prize of $9,267,000 was split evenly between four winners.
Speaking to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Circa owner Derek Stevens said:
“$14,266,000 of entries into Circa Survivor is really amazing. Great for Las Vegas and great for football fans. Overall, having $20,083,000 of entries into both contests is also amazing.
We almost got to $6 million in the Millions but were able to cut the overlay down from last year. I consider the $183,000 overlay our gift to Circa Sports customers.”
