Europe’s profitability for the first 6 months grew by a staggering 200 per cent. South Africa, which accounts for the remainder of the EMEA region, also reported an increase in profits of more than 160 per cent.
Nick Khin, General Manager, Aristocrat EMEA, explained: “We set ourselves some aggressive targets and I am pleased to report that much progress has been made in terms of sales, profitability and customer service. Whilst the performance and quality of Aristocrat games remain key drivers in our success, this growth has been achieved in conjunction with key appointments across all functions of the business, combined with a programme of streamlining our processes – all aimed towards improving customer service.”
Aristocrat EMEA cited the primary products behind the company’s first half growth as Zorro (Double Standalone Progressive), 50 Lions (Standalone) and Cash Express (Hyperlink). In terms of markets, Aristocrat achieved a significant increase in sales in the French market.
